EMERGENZA  EBOLA  -    AUTOSEGNALAZIONE DEI SOGGETTI IN ARRIVO DALLA REPUBBLICA DEMOCRATICA DEL CONGO E DALL’UGANDA

In attuazione dell’Ordinanza del Ministro della salute “Procedure operative e misure di sorveglianza sanitaria relative alla Malattia da Virus Ebola (MVE)” del 29 maggio 2026, in considerazione del focolaio in corso causato dal virus Bundibugyo (BVD),  i soggetti che, con qualunque mezzo di trasporto, fanno ingresso nel territorio nazionale dalla Repubblica Democratica del Congo e dall’Uganda, sono tenuti a effettuare, immediatamente e comunque non oltre 24 ore dall’ingresso, un’apposita dichiarazione firmata sotto la propria responsabilità, ai sensi dell’articolo 47 del D.P.R. 445/2000 al Dipartimento di prevenzione dell’ATS di residenza o domicilio.
Tale dichiarazione deve essere trasmessa, anche in assenza di sintomi, utilizzando il modulo qui allegato

Indicazioni per chi rientra da Repubblica Democratica del Congo e Uganda
Queste misure si applicano a tutte le persone che:
•             provengono direttamente o indirettamente dalla Repubblica Democratica del Congo o dall’Uganda;
•             oppure sono state in questi Paesi nei 21 giorni precedenti l’ingresso in Italia.

Cosa bisogna fare
•             comunicare il proprio ingresso in Italia al Dipartimento di Prevenzione dell’ATS competente per il luogo di residenza o domicilio;
•             dare comunicazione il prima possibile e comunque entro 24 ore dall’arrivo.

Come fare la comunicazione
•             compilare il modulo autodichiarazione - presente nella sezione Allegati-
•             inviarlo alla mail direzione.malattieinfettive@ats-bg.it
La comunicazione deve essere effettuata tramite una dichiarazione firmata (secondo il modello previsto), sotto la propria responsabilità.

Successivi contatti da parte di ATS
ATS valuterà il rischio e fornirà le indicazioni per la sorveglianza. 

In caso di sintomi  (sia prima sia dopo valutazione di ATS) 
Se un viaggiatore sviluppa sintomi entro 21 giorni dall'uscita da un Paese o area interessata, deve:
•             Autoisolarsi immediatamente
•             Evitare contatti con conviventi e terzi
•             Non recarsi autonomamente presso strutture sanitarie
•             Contattare immediatamente il Dipartimento di Prevenzione, il numero unico di emergenza 112/118 o altro recapito indicato dall'autorità sanitaria
•             Riferire viaggio, data di rientro, aree visitate ed esposizioni

EBOLA EMERGENCY - SELF-REPORTING FOR PERSONS ARRIVING FROM THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO AND UGANDA

In implementation of the Ordinance of the Minister of Health "Operational Procedure and Health Surveillance Measures for Ebola Virus Disease (EVD)" of May 29, 2026, in light of the ongoing outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo virus (BVD), persons entering Italy from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, by any means of transport, are required to submit, immediately and in any case no later than 24 hours after entry, a self-signed declaration, pursuant to Article 47 of Presidential Decree 445/2000, to the Prevention Department of the ATS (Healthcare Authority) of their place of residence or domicile.
This declaration must be submitted, even in the absence of symptoms, using the attached form.

Instructions for those returning from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda
These measures apply to all persons who:
• arrive directly or are currently arriving from the Democratic Republic of the Congo or Uganda;
• or have been in these countries in the 21 days prior to entering Italy.

What you need to do
• Notify your entry into Italy to the Prevention Department of the ATS responsible for your place of residence or domicile;
• Notify us as soon as possible and in any case within 24 hours of arrival.

Come and report your entry
• Fill out the attached form
• Send it to direzione.malattieinfettive@ats-bg.it
The notification must be made via a signed declaration (using the provided template), under your own responsibility.

Subsequent contact by the ATS
ATS will assess the risk and provide surveillance instructions.

In case of symptoms (both before and after ATS assessment)
If a traveler develops symptoms within 21 days of leaving an affected country or area, they must:
• Self-isolate immediately
• Avoid contact with cohabitants and third parties
• Do not go to healthcare facilities on their own
• Immediately contact the Prevention Department, the single emergency number 112/118, or another contact indicated by the health authority
• Report travel, return details, areas visited, and exposures
